I see a future in either private investigation or perhaps stalking

This morning I was checking out my Facebook feed when I ran across a post by my friend, Jill of Scary Mommy. Apparently Jill's hair stylist had left her position at the salon where Jill gets her hair done and this has caused some serious hair-raising dilemmas.

Orange hair dilemmas, to be exact.

I sent Jill a message asking for either the stylists name or the name of the salon she had previous worked at and with that information I began my search.

Google was absolutely no help at all.  Facebook was also a bust without a last name.  MySpace was equally uneventful.

But then I remembered that cosmetologists are licensed by the state in which they work.  Hmmmm, that got the gears running in my brain and so I looked up Maryland's licensing board and did a license search for the stylist's last name.

BINGO!

I got her full name, address, and cosmetology license number and with that I was able to track her down via her Facebook page which even showed her past employer as being the very salon where she did Jill's hair.

Am I good or what?

I don't know when I realized I was good at finding missing things or, more importantly, missing people.  I think I can chalk it up to being married to an attorney for 10 years who spent the better part of his practice tracking down deadbeats and non-payers for his clients.

I knew there was a perk to that marriage.

So, who needs me to track down a lost love, deadbeat dad, or missing hair stylist?
