Today is MommyBrain's birthday and in celebration her Monday MEme is all about birthdays. We were 'supposed' to pick our most memorable birthday and write about that but I never have been good at following directions so instead I decided to share some photos of my early birthday years.
Many thanks to my dad who took hundreds of photos of us growing up and gave each of us girls a digital copy of all the photos for Christmas of 2005. Also included were 36 DVD-roms of video.... yes, 36!
I will spare you all that agony...
My actual BIRTHday!

My first birthday.
I got this crazy Fisher Price toy called 'Perky Penguin'
I loved that damn bird toy!
I actually have tried a number of times to win one on eBay and I always get outbid.
DAMNIT!
My 2nd Birthday
My sister was staying as close as possible to those presents!
She never much liked it when it was someone else's birthday.
She was, of course, a HUGE fan of her own.
Birthday #3
My grandparents often drove over from Arkansas for the weekend to help celebrate.
My grandad looks like he must have started the meal with a few martinis.
Probably a smart choice.
My 4th Birthday
This was the first birthday party where I had a party outside of home.
Mine was at the local McDonalds with a few friends and later we had a family party at home.
Birthday #5
I loved my mom's cakes. I think this one was lemon.
My 7th Birthday
I don't know what happened to the picture for my 6th.
I'm pretty sure I had one.
Then again, maybe I didn't and I'm really still 33 and not 34 (?)

I asked for that cute black infant Cabbage Patch Kid FOREVER!
I carried it like that for almost a year.
I probably would have tried to breast feed it if I had known how that worked.
My 9th Birthday (I think)
This b-day coincided with the visit from one of my dad's friends from Japan
So, no...thats not my dad sitting next to me.

I got my first 10 speed bike
