Box O' Blessings

Last Saturday Sammy received his first box from Pass It On Baby and inside we found 7 brand new shirts an anonymous reader of PIOB purchased specifically for Sam. I was totally blown away. I expected (and prayed) for any shirts- used, worn, hand-me-down, and even outdated but I did not expect to receive shirts that were brand new.
In this world we live in we are barraged with stories of selfishness and hurt. The evening news typically features murder, disease, and tragedy and it seems that the happy stories are fewer and farther between. On the other side of the spectrum we have entire news programs, webpages, and magazines devoted to 'fluff' stories about celebrities and their latest weight loss secret, "affordable" fashion options that are still way out of budget for every woman I know, and who wore what to the latest red carpet event.
I would like to see more stories like this and those featured on Oprah's Angel Network, of which Pass It On Baby is a member. Stories which build us up and inspire us to make a difference in the lives of others in our community and our world. I cannot remember where the phrase comes from but I would like to 'be the change I want to see in the world'. Won't you join me?

I would like to urge every mom I know to consider visiting the blog at Pass It On Baby and see if maybe you have some gently used children's or maternity clothing you can send to bless another mom. Also, if you or someone you know is in need of any items you can email the creators with that mom's specific needs and they will make it happen. My Sam and his new box of shirts can attest to their devotion to this amazing ministry.
