A lesson in gratitude
Bruce picked up the boys last night and I have 2 days to get some much-needed R&R. I sat on the couch and watched TV last night. Saw an especially disgusting episode of Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe chipping away barnacles on buoys. Then I saw an even ickier episode of Bizarre Foods which traveled the country of Tanzania on the western coast of Africa. It strikes me that almost everything we eat in this country is five-star cuisine. We are blessed to have grocery stores on every corner, someone who butchers our meat for us, and another who grows and picks the prettiest fruits and veggies and then arranges them for us to scrutinize. This is not the case in Tanzania. I think today I am going to reflect on gratitude and thankfulness to God for the excessive bounty we have in this country of ours. Even in the midst of economic crisis and failing banks we live like kings and queens. Everyday.
A lesson in gratitude
